    To explore Nota click here
Does it work on mobile devices? Not very well the text tool for example will not work so, as for Twiddla, test it first to see if the activity you would like done on a mobile device is doable before suggesting it to your students.
More on collaborative tools I love and you should check out

The use of technology in language learning has the potential to engage and motivate students in authentic communicative activities. Moodle allows the language teacher to deliver to students resources such as videos, interviews and other materials in easy to access formats that can be made available for direct access or download purposes making Moodle a flexible way to teach students (transferring resources to iPod for example). In the last couple of years "mobile learning" has exploded with more students looking at ways to maximise their learning opportunities away from the traditional lecture/tutorial format. In this presentation Grazia Scotellaro will show some of the tools and resources recently developed for the ANU Italian program showing how Moodle can enhance language learning opportunities for students.

Although there are several software and apps that can create books and epubs some of them require a little more tech know how and are not always user friendly. For very simple books, interactive books and epubs you don't really need anything too complicated and anyone (including children) should be able to make their own books easy and stress free. This is particularly important if you like to do this as a student activity, honestly the last thing you want as a teacher is having motivated students keen to write their own book bogged down with technical glitches and long delays as you need the school IT Support to buy and install the software for you or help you out if things don't work. Therefore this page is not about producing books for publishing but easy and quick ways for you and your students to create your own books for learning and fun.
    On your computer
I am currently reviewing a couple of interesting products to produce e-pubs on your computer so stay tuned for an update very soon in the mean time:
The easiest way to create simple books with text and images to be converted as books for mobile devices is to use Word.
Create your story in a word document, add images. Don't include page numbers or a table of content as it is superfluous in an ePub.

Using Padlet and/or other sharing wall cloud solution (work in progress come back soon)
The following ideas can be adapted for diverse topics and languages.
    Teaching ideas:ideas
    Create a sharing wall to:
Introduce a topic/lesson with all the materials (videos, links, etc) organized as a visual wall instead of text bases with links
Share resource space to find and share resources (e.g. on a specific topic find links to webpages, images, videos, etc on the topic)
Introduce a topic and ask student to post comments and questions on the wall live while presenting
Build a wall lesson module complete with video introduction, readings, activities with a space for students to post/share their work

    Why using a sharing wall?
It is a much more visual and appealing way to present and share materials then a list of links or files. It is easy to use and it can be easily shared, exported, embedded, etc.
It will work on any device including mobile devices making it a great activity for classes not held in a lab or when using a computer is not easy.

    What you will need:
Padlet account (it is free) that will allow to create your walls
A work plan on what you need to do (ideas list or storyboard)
You can also use Padlet to get your students to prepare activities or assignments work. These are only s few ideas:

    Learning ideas
You can also use Padletdo an ice breaking activity to get your students to prepare activities or assessable work. These are only s few ideas:introduce themselves to the class with a picture/video and something about them (in the target language for non beginners)
do a presentation poster wall (each students will create their own with their presentation materials like webpages, images, videos, etc on the assessment topic)
Virtual conference, students record and upload short video presentation in a selected topic

    What you will need:
Clear instructionsPre- prepared walls for students to use (if it is a class activity and not a single activity like the presentation poster)
    Clear instruction
on howwhat the students need to do
Setting up of walls that can minimize overcrowding, people posting on each others work, etc
Limit/description of exactly what you would like them to post and how (e.g. if it is a video a size/time limit, specific format and appropriate title and identifier)
    Tech tips:
Paddlet is actually a very very easy tool to use but it can also become a distraction if not used for a specific a clear purpose. The instructions and purpose is then very important as the
the activity.technology is very user friendly.
